Also not for those who are interested in any sort of scenery. At all. Literally anything.
You're thinking of Illinois

Western Kansas and Nebraska is the most flat nothingness I've ever er experienced. I was glad to see a farm house after 70 miles. Then it was another 50 miles of wheat.

Best vacation I ever took I finished a job in Colorado and flew this girl I knew to meet me in San Diego, rented a convertible and spent two weeks riding up the Pacific Coast Highway with no particular itinerary other than visiting friends in San Francisco. (It was supposed to be a Porsche but it ended up being a Mustang. Nice car but a disapointment. Still a great vacation, though.)

I decided to spend a summer in Newport, RI when I was living in LA. I wanted to have a car with me for the summer, so I made the drive. I hated it so much, that I sold the car before I left and flew back to LA.

When I got out of college, I drove from Key West, FL to Anchorage, AK. Sold my truck and flew back to Louisiana. I really hated driving after that.

I drove a little under 25,000 miles this summer over 3 months in a 2 door soft top Wrangler Rubicon with a manual transmission. My brother and I took shifts driving straight through to Moab Ut from Orlando to start the trip, it took us 38 hours and we only stopped for gas. If you have the time, avoid the interstates out there at all costs.
