You talking midwestern city or midwestern country?
Because I know plenty of midwestern country types and the only difference between them and most of my southern friends is the use of polos during college football season and their accent.

About as much difference as there is between Minneapolis, MN and Carbondale, IL or between Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Cincinnati, OH.

And midwesterners tend to be more racist than Southerners. Not as racist as northeasteners, but not far from it.

Ive got several close brothers from Minnesota, North Dakota, and Iowa. Known them for over 20 years. Attended everything from rallies, birthday parties, funerals, even chili cookoffs.
Never seen or heard one if them putting heie chili over noodles.
