My 2003 LSU championship shirt is on verge of being retired.. hole under my arm just grew.

Bought a used refrigerator ( was a one year old rent to own from a friend). In 1989… still working as washroom fridge .

I have a pair of dress socks I bought at Maison Blanche in 1987 and as God as my witness they are still going strong but I only wear them about once a year now because I can feel the fabric crackling but still NO holes in them! makes me smile whenever I pull them out.

Eta I also have dress socks that didn't last 6 months .

I have a gasoline-powered edger to cut the grass from the curb. My grandfather bought it in 1960 when he moved to a new house. He used it for about ten years. But I started using it when I'd mow his yard each week in the 1980s and 1990s, before he died. I immediately started using it here at my home, and I'm still using it. I just have to change out the blade about every three years or so. Spark-plugs a little longer.

I'm glad my Pioneer tape-deck, my CD-player, and my amplifier are still working nicely. Bought them in 1991-92, and have used them heavily ever since. All are admittedly probably on their last legs.

30 dollar walmart hypertough 20v drill. Had it 6 years and still use it a few times a week. It's been treated like a 30 dollar drill. Dropped in water... hurled off roofs and it just keeps going. Can't believe the use I've got out of it. Built a huge deck and it has enough power to sink the heads easily.

I think the battery has lasted so long because it doesn't have a fast charger. Its a slow charge.

Just blows my mind that it was 30 bucks back then and they still have them for the same price. If the battery ever dies I might just get a new one because at this point I want to see how long the drill lasts

When I bought my first house, my grandparents gifted me their spare can opener as a house warming present.

It’s an old sunbeam power pierce from the 1950s. It still works.

$200 Swiss computer backpack I got back in 2005 and traveled with it on every work trip and vacation all over the world. Many times I carried more in it than it was designed for but it still held up and is good as new.

We looked up the model number of the microwave in the kitchen when we bought our house. It brings us to the Sears catalog from 1985.

We bought the house in 2014 and it's still riding strong.

I mean, it probably leaks radiation and you have to add 10% to the listed time for stuff, but

At this point, I WILL NOT replace it until it dies.

I have a olive green Frigidaire in my garage that the previous owners left. They brought it with them from New Jersey when they built this house in 1981, so it's 43 years old at a minimum and still keeping my drinks ice cold.

My Mom's 2001 Toyota Camry. She sold it to my son in 2017, and he just sold it to me. It has 146,000 on it, the air will freeze ya out and it runs like a new car.

30 yr ties are not abnormal. Guys don't generally use them all the time. I've got some old ones I threw away bc they weren't in style.
