This ain't happening
St. Francisville is land locked, and nobody from N EBR has the bank to sniff West Feliciana.

How do the lower on income have the money to move there? Is there a lot of Section 8 or apts? Is real estate cheap?

West Fel has solid schools. And there is a private Catholic school pretty close by in New Roads that isn’t too expensive. That trend you are mentioning may be driving some kids into that private school, but overall the public schools are competitive by Louisiana standards.

West Fel isn’t a bad place to live at all. The shopping and retail the big limitations there.

Good on those leaders. Covington will be trash in about 10 years or so. So much “affordable housing” being built and DR Horton and other builders. I don’t see the positive of this. Washington Parish is advertising “affordable housing” neighborhoods being built. Hopefully, Washington Parish is too far away for deadbeats to move. Nothing to do there and too far to commute.

You generally need either extreme cold/mountain terrain or ridiculously unaffordable housing to keep the culcha out. If you have both like Aspen/ Vail you’re all set.

At some point, Zachary, Central, Denham Springs, Walker, Prairieville, Gonzales, etc will follow suit too

It’s inevitable

Lol, you all live in Louisiana, where there is a huge percentage of black residents. You can run but you can’t hide.

Truth. You aren’t going to escape to anywhere “safe” in Louisiana. And it isn’t a race issue. The white trash is as prevalent as the ghetto trash. Probably more so in rural areas. So about all you can do is try to maintain your property as best you can and try to ignore everyone else.
The problems start when your trashy neighbors start bringing their behavior onto your property. That you simply can’t ignore. That’s why you try to get as much property between them and you as possible.

This is bullshite. The major of white people have no problem living around black people as long as the black people are decent, keep their property up and don’t generally act like thugs. It really isn’t about skin color, it’s about behavior. Most decent white folk also do not want to live around white trailer park trash for the same reason. It’s not color, it’s behavior.

My second house I lived next to a black family. He was a supervisor for the cable company and his wife worked at the GM plant. They had a sweet little girl and a boy. Kids were well mannered, he kept his property up, etc. We came to be very close with them and I was very sad when they moved away.

My own brother, who is white, is a complete fricking moron. He married some white trash bitch with two kids from two different baby daddies, and they are animals. He is lazy and doesn’t take care of shite. I pity anyone who had to live next to them. And that’s my own kin.

It’s not about color it’s about behavior but sadly statistically speaking, a larger percentage of the black community have these issues.

I would love to see a turn around in the black community. I would love to see more black men committed to their families and raising their children. I would love to see black women stop the absolutely evil action of aborting their children. A stronger black community would mean less crime, which would mean less municipal money spent on law enforcement. A stronger black community would mean less welfare, which would mean less reason to tax us to death. A stronger black community would lead to more productive work force, which means stronger economy. A stronger black community would mean less dilapidation of neighborhoods and higher property values.

All white conservatives would benefit from a stronger black community and we know this. So you tell me, who is really working to destroy the black community.

Might be too far. Typically 30 miles is about the cut off.

Oh look, yet another asinine politically charged thread that should not belong on this board.

Threads about how shitty Louisiana is as a whole or specific municipalities definitely belong on the OT.

Even local politics generally belong here.

The massive DR Horton developments both approved by the city inside the limits and the ones approved outside the limits but in the school district was the beginning of the end. It only took about 5 years after that. The white flight then started and there is no turning back.

Inside the city limits of St Francisville may grow a little but there is limited room and they won’t incorporate anything new because they would have to take in a large Sec 8 area

Lots of ravines, erosion and low flood basins around St. Francisville, which limits where you can build. Land that can be built on easily is almost nonexistent compared to Zachary.

You won’t get a reply bc in the liberal mind is the white racists fault for wanting to send your kids to a good school and live in a safe neighborhood

Maybe on average but Zachary never had had anything even comparable to Eastover.
