Yeah. But isn't it way out past Washington?
The dump used to be just across the tracks on the airport road, but I thought they moved it.

Played American Legion ball there for two years and had alot of Ray's boudin growing up around the Opelousas area. I went to Port Barre high and had alot of friends at OC. Like you said earlier I gained a lot of culture from growing up around that area and wouldn't change a thing. My favorite high coach from PBHS went to OHS and died from a heart attack while there. I learned life lessons from Arthur P to understand and accept people both black and white. Haven't been back much in 20 years so I can't comment much about it anymore.
Eta: didn't grow in Opelousas

Recall that Huey Long's assassin was tied into the Pavy family of Opelousas.

Opelousas was also good for giving us that loving and great "Great Dane " story from the 80s...

Do not know this story of which you speak.

Let's just say this "story" was very popular and outrageous back then -- Opelousas gossip circles REALLY ran with this one. If you lived in Opelousas back then, you have to have heard this story at some point - will say no more...

Left in 81. Never looked back. But I think I know the story.

No. My dad was the ophthalmologist. That is a dead give away if you grew up in Opelousas.
Which one? L or W? I'd guess W.

Billy's Boudin
Had it at the Scott location. My cultured palate says its the worst tasting boudin in the area.
I don't think I would even stop to take a piss in the cesspool of a town

I only remember it as "Ardoin's Seafood". It was right past "Soileau's". I remember they had one great seafood buffet.

Damn baw, should've gone to KS. I haven't been to the Billy's in Scott in like 10 years, but I stop in Krotz Springs every time I roll through to get boudin balls and pepperjack/boudin rolls
