What if the federal judge sides with Gov. Newsom and decides that Pres. Trump does not have the authority to nationalize the California National Guard?

Does Trump finally tell a judge to kick rocks and leave the Guard in L.A.?

How would the members of the Guard react? Would they obey their commander-in-chief or follow the judge's decision?

Would it be the beginning of a national divide with people choosing sides?

This could become very interesting.

Then trump declares war with Mexico and we put them in pow camps

Or ship em to El salvador

I mean I see Mexico flying flags next to burning police cars. Looks like insurgents

No judge has the authority to stop the President from doing the duties as Commander in Chief.

Federal judges have stopped him from doing many things so far and Trump just takes it like a bitch. Wish he would say frick those federal judges but he won't.

But does the judge know that or even care?

Unfortunately the law might, trust me I don't want it to, suspend Posse Comitatus now and deal with this.

Then it would be appealed and eventually overturned.

I’d get on TV and announce that the USSC has 24 hours to rule on the constitutionality of that ruling and if at the end of that window no guidance is provided that I will move ahead as directed by the constitution to protect the US public from the violent rioters.

Yes, they absolutely do and always have. Like when the Supreme Court blocked Biden's student loan forgiveness program.

You clearly need a civics refresher, like a lot of Americans.

Assume that Trump just does what he wants and the hell with the judiciary and supreme court. The next step is to arrest and send out of the country all of his political opponents regardless of their citizenship status. You will then be able to tell your children that you witnessed the beginning of the dictatorship.

And if the USSC fails to meet that deadline or rules against Trump then what?

It will be interesting to see a ruling on this. JFK federalize the National Guard multiple occasions during the civil rights movement. Johnson did the same thing.
