I’m 5’8, we play ping pong at work and every time the ball rolls under the table someone asks me to WALK under it and grab the ball. On the bright side I seldom hit my head on stuff.

it must hurt when the little old ladies in the store go to ask you to grab something off the top shelf and then notice your height and then turn to look for someone taller

They usually point me in the direction of a ladder

I’m 5’8”, which used to be average height. Now it’s about 5’9”. I’ve never felt “short,” even though technically I am.
The whole world is built for people my size, so it’s not such a bad deal. I never have to duck. I can fit okay in an airline seat. I can still reach the cereal boxes at the top of the grocery store shelf. I’m cool with it.
But I will say this. At 5’8” I might as well be 5’0” when it comes to dating. There are women who are 5’4” who won’t give you the time of day if you’re not the magical 6’0”. They can deny it all they want, but they are lying to you. You better have a great personality, great sense of humor, and a fat wallet to make up for the common deformity of being born 5’8”.

Same here. Is what it is.
I don't really think about it until I have to get my wife or youngest daughter to get something off a top shelf for me. They're 5'8" and 5'9" with long arse arms and legs. My older daughter got my height and build. She's 5'3 and built like a brick shithouse. College cheer captain, coach and helluva gymnast. Had SEC offers gymnastics, but cheer was less time consuming. But her country strong arse could squat treefiddy in 7th grade. They wanted her to play fullback/linebacker in jr. high since she was stronger and tougher than the guys.

That and other reasons are why I never had an issue I guess. Plus, IDGAF. I've bagged as many taller women as I have shorter. Hell I like taking down a Amazonian. I feel like I chopped down a big arse red wood with a big arse "Axe".

Overall, average is just a shade below 5'9" , but that's nationwide and across all ethnic groups. So those asians and mexicans bring it down some. But of course, by polack fricks like my cousins skew it upward.
Farming areas really do grow big arse deer and people. When I'm west of Little Rock and hit the farming area's, I'm pretty sure the average size male is 7'0 500lbs.

I have really long arms and wear a size 15 shoe. I feel like I should be 6'4 instead of 6'1.

I can agree with this chart for men.
Remove 4" for all categories for women. A 6' women is damn tall and fairly rare for a chick. I have no problem with that because I'm equal opportunity, but that chick is towering over most guys if she wears heels.

I have long arms and legs for my height, my build (Like a pitbull with a few extra pounds) hides it. But I wear a 12.5-13 shoe in brooks and can palm a basketball with ease. I just never grew into my hands, feet, dick or ego.

True, but after hanging out for about a month in South south LA with my mom's mom/stepdad when he was in construction, they make up for if by being loud and having bigger than life personalities. Damn, once those sumbitches got going, it was on 24/7 for daaaays. Good times.
