What Happened to the Flu?

This graphic speaks for itself. There's been ONE pediatric death from the flu in the 2020-2021 season. As you can also see, we've averaged close to 200 for the 3 years prior.
WTF is going on here? Do masks/social distancing/quarantines work for the flu, but not COVID-19? Or, is EVERYTHING including the flu being labeled as COVID-19? Does anyone have any idea? Docs and nurses I'm looking at yall........

Hospitals don't get any extra money for influenza deaths. That is what happened.

Well that does make sense since the flu isn’t as contagious as COVID-19.
Also flu is only spread by droplet transmission so wearing masks would actually make a huge difference to lessen the spread of the flu.

I did see where the flu vaccinations are higher this year. That would certainly explain a reduction, but we are looking at an eradication based off these numbers.

I'm not qualified to answer the question, but I'd guess it's somewhere in the middle. All the crap we're doing for Covid helps stop the spread of the flu, but I'd also put good money on some flu deaths being recorded as covid deaths. Also a lot of schools are closed, and schools are flu factories.

Are you really this easily fooled by a simple graphic? According to this graphic, the 2021 year just started. But all those flu deaths in 2020 don't count in the new year.

The CDC announced earlier this year that they weren't really keeping track of flu cases this year.
