I read that the ham used on their subs isn't real ham. It's a cheap grade turkey meat that's colored and flavored like ham. SO I went to the nearest Subway shop and asked them. 2 employees behind the counter. I asked about the ham. One guy said "NO it's not real ham, it's turkey" The other employee was stunned didn't know it. The Black Forrest ham is the real stuff, but if you order a ham and cheese sub, you're getting turkey and cheese.

Used to go to the one by my workplace pretty often, but theyve been getting robbed a lot lately so to keep from being caught in the crossfire I now just go to Popeye's

It bothers me that I cannot order off the menu.

" I want an Italian BMT on wheat bread please, not toasted"

"What would you like on it"

"Exactly how it says on the menu on wheat bread, not toasted"

Blank Stare "What would you like on it"

That is my conversation every time.

I got violently ill about 10 years ago probably from a poo laced sub and have never returned. That place is just nasty with hair, boogers and poo hands in your lettuce, etc and on your bread.

I'm not saying he is wrong but most people automatically think it comes from there food. It, in fact, comes from touching one of the other objects you come across each day that had the poo. Most people do not wash their hands before they eat and add the poo to their food.

Incorrect.

Back in the late 80s/early 90s, Subway was actually very good, at least as far as fast food goes.. Back then i didnt know what a ‘sub’ sandwich even was, then i discovered Subway and their ingredients tasted so fresh, it was really a treat to eat there.. I realize that people usually have their memory clouded by nostalgia, but not in this case- the sandwiches were actually legit.

Not sure when they went off a cliff, but i haven’t been into one since the mid-2000s, and that wasnt a pleasant experience.

Just my imagination. Some dip shite kid, takes a dump, doesn't wash hands and makes my sandwich. Very likely scenario.

I like Jasons Deli and Newks, but they are in a different category than Subway, Jersey Mikes, etc- they are more like casual restaurants.

Also, Publix is a grocery store that makes sandwiches, not a sub shop..... This list reminds me of people in fast food threads who compare McDonalds and Burger King to Buds Broiler and Lee’s Hamburgers.
