The question as to which God is the real one is another chapter entirely but fine tuning is a good place to start.
Just curious when you say "which God" are you referring to Yahweh, God, or Allah? Or are you referring to other spiritual beings from Buddism, Hindu, etc? God, Yahweh, and Allah are all the same God. Christianity and Muslim are spinoffs of Judaism so all three believe and worship the same God.

Religion is 100% faith which is absolutely acceptable. I do however, find that most truly hard core Jesus believers talk down and are very critical of non believers. Conversely, non believers aren’t as critical, but just want proof.

I find it very difficult to believe all of this was created without some sort of cosmic energy/deity/god/collective soul/whatever. I was raised Christian, but I don't see that as the only way. I've landed more towards the transpolytheistic side of things as I've gotten older and experienced more of life.

The rest of society benefits from your belief.
God is the best solution to a Tragedy of the Commons collective action problem.

I struggle with the realism of it all. I grew up never questioning it, and just believing what I thought everyone else did. My problem is just the reasoning behind it all. Why would our god condemn people to Hell if they never had the chance to know him? I still believe in Jesus Christ and try and be a good Christian, but I think sometimes it just doesn’t make sense. I guess to question faith is somewhat normal. My whole deciding point comes down to how the world works. There has to be a creator on a creation. Science my arse
Be a good person; that and Christian aren't always synonymous.
I get your struggle with the reasoning. The Bible is a compilation of writings from several authors over several eras. It was written by men while being called the authority on exactly who God is. That's not to say none of it is true or that all of it is true, but the factual truth of the Bible and the nature of God are taken on faith.

It's so ridiculous when people say that.

You're asking this question where the vast majority of this board lives in the bible belt, you are going to get a one sided response

I feel loved and protected. I feel a kinship with Him. My rock.
You are a lucky bastard because God hasn't blessed millions of children. Narcissistic is what you are.

It gives some people comfort to think someone is in charge and there's a purpose to all this. I'm less and less able to believe that over the years but I respect anyone who still can. I think it does make life easier.
This guy nailed it.

Been raised to believe and I do believe but the good lord said we are all sinners and I can't deny that. Jesus going to look at me and give me one of these
But then he will say bring it in here

I think it goes both ways. There are atheists that are almost militant against believers, as well as those that claim that you will burn in the fires of hell if you aren;t a believer.

I don't have a fear of going to hell and not why I believe in God.
I believe in his teachings and find joy in living my life according to those teachings. I have lived life against those teachings and did not find real joy. I can't prove to you why that is, only you can find out for yourself.
I also do not condemn anyone who doesn't follow the same path I am on.

Here's what confuses me.
As scientists continue to find remains that are 13-15 thousand years old and homo sapiens have been around 300k years, why do they think Christianity started when Jesus came, and they think Adam and Eve came around 55k years ago, yet we know Dinosaurs were around millions of years ago.
But Adam and Eve were created on the 6th day of creation??
Also, nobody ever quotes the negative stuff in the Bible, just the good. There is some messed up shite in the Bible

No, evidence is physical, for anyone to see.
I’m not arguing it didn’t happen… I’m just saying.
