I used to duck into this seedy bar when I’d miss my train late at night. It was a rough neighborhood but the owner was cool and a few of the regulars and I would shoot pool.
One night I walk in and the place is jammed packed with dudes wearing lots of red. I didn’t want to just turn around and walk out and be rude, it wasn’t unusual for me to be the only white guy there, so I walked up to the bar and got a beer. One of the guys I knew called me back by the tables…
Ended up hanging out all night and into the morning playing pool and drinking beer. These weren’t young gangbangers tho and we had a great time.
