Lima beans. I was feeling nauseous one night when they were part of dinner, and the smell of them made it worse. I said wanted to be done because I didn’t feel good, but my parents didn’t buy it and told me I had to eat my beans. Took a bite and threw up all over the table.

Crying “I told you I couldn’t eat anymore beans!” is a HoF quote in my family.

I also hated Brussels sprouts as a kid, but that was due to improper preparation (boiled). I learned early in adulthood that roasted Brussels sprouts are elite.

Boxed mash potatoes. The unseasoned, unsalted, unbuttered ones still taste like shite, but the potatoes in a pouch are good.

Mayonnaise

This right here. Or miracle whip. All the same reasons. I still don't eat it.

1. Tuna - country dijon mustard or regular mustard
2. Potato salad - regular mustard

I didn't like them either, but that's because I had them like this:

Nowadays, I use large limas when I make white beans and they're incredible.

They've also been genetically modified to be less bitter in modern years.

Cake is ok, but I always had my mom make a pecan pie instead.

Canned Spinach and canned beets. On separate occasions I puked when trying to take a bite of each. Still won’t each beets except a roasted golden beet.

I think turtle soup is incredible, but TBH, I don't need it to be turtle meat. I feel like it would be just as good with another protein. It's the rich base and the sherry kick that makes it so good.
