I had a giant crush on her in college, but I got friend zoned pretty quickly and could never recover. She dated a couple guys but never got serious with anyone. I think she had been roughed up in high school and had a hard time getting over that. She became a NP and married a real estate attorney. I looked her up on LinkedIn a couple years ago. She looked an old 45 for someone who never had kids.

She got fat and crazy. Finally admitted to being an atheist and now leans so far left that she sounds like a communist. Hurt pretty bad decades ago, but the truth is that I involuntarily dodged a really dangerous bullet.
God is good and His plan is perfect - even though we often do not understand it or appreciate it.
Face it, we are pretty foolish - especially when young and hormonal.

Met a intelligent hot blonde in middle school and dated her in high school. She became the valedictorian in our high school class . I thought we would go to LSU together but she decided not to.

She works as a secretary at a barge company and is still single but weighs 300 lbs. now.

I don’t know, but the fact that she just severed all contact instantly after knowing each other for nearly a decade has really affected my ability to trust women with my emotions.

When I was 16 working at the local grocery store there was a Puerto Rican family that moved into town. Mom, adult son, and twin teenage daughters. They always bought two buggies full of groceries so the other guys didn't want to bag their groceries, so I always took care of it. One day while I was taking the groceries to their car, the son told me that he wanted me to date his sisters. I responded, "You mean sister?" and he said "No, both of them."
I was too naïve at the time at didn't understand Latino family dynamics so I thought that there was no way the sisters would be okay with it and that it would be a whole mess of drama, so I passed the opportunity. Wish I could go back and tell my younger self to have jumped on that opportunity.

Rejected and probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I left town and went to medical school She stayed in our small hometown in northeast Louisiana and developed a cocaine and meth addiction. Also she got knocked up and married the guy who she assumes is the father but her son looks nothing like.

Married her. Still married 30 years later. Option number two would've been a good catch as well. I dumped option 2 for option 1 and she still holds it against me to this day, but we're on good terms. None I feel like I missed out on, especially after the years have passed.

Married now for 38 years so this is a moot point now really but it’s an interesting topic to talk about.

Had two that “got away”. These were during undergraduate college era and grad school. So realistically, the timing was never gonna work because I had to get a job and all that stuff. Still think about them occasionally and what could’ve been. I guess it was a big part of your life and it’s hard to ever forget. There were scenarios where I guess we would’ve gotten married. Moot point now.

I do have an amazing story along those lines, however. We were on a cruise in Europe a few years ago and I heard a group of people mentioning a city I grew up in in Florida. I went up and talked to them and got to know them. Turns out two of the women in the group were in the same sorority as the girl I I dated in grad school for close to two years. One of the aforementioned. AND… they were both in her wedding. This is the middle of France. Never knew him beforehand.

You were and are naive bro: that doesn't happen. What was really going on is the brother had the hots for you.
