What do you say to your child when life’s unfair?

He’s 14. Give him a beer, take him shooting? Let him beat an old tube TV with a bat?
I feel for him, but there are very few lessons to be learned from unreal shite bad luck.

Tell him life isn't always fair.

That life is unfair. Might as well learn now so he can develop an eye for avoiding such bs.

I think he’s figured that out by now.

Another brag thread about your unstoppable stud athlete son. I'm here for the stories.

That life is unfair, is never going to be fair, and that it’s good that he’s learning it now when the consequences of unfairness are still relatively minor. It’s not the end of the world. Let’s go do some fun father/son stuff like hit balls at the batting cages.

Work harder, not everything will be given to you and sometimes your best efforts will not be enough. Learn from it and move on.

Did your kids boyfriend breakup with him after kickball practice?

Honestly by 14 he likely already knows life isn't fair, he may just be learning he isn't the exception to the rule.

give him a day to do things that he really enjoys doing
he is 14
he will get over it pretty quick

Want it?
Na, it’s just too unreal.

If he were older, I'd say get him a hooker and a case of beer. That doesn't fit here, though.

Tell them to learn to leverage the unfairness to their advantage
