He’s 14. Give him a beer, take him shooting? Let him beat an old tube TV with a bat?

I feel for him, but there are very few lessons to be learned from unreal shite bad luck.

That life is unfair, is never going to be fair, and that it’s good that he’s learning it now when the consequences of unfairness are still relatively minor. It’s not the end of the world. Let’s go do some fun father/son stuff like hit balls at the batting cages.

Honestly by 14 he likely already knows life isn't fair, he may just be learning he isn't the exception to the rule.
