I’ve tried numerous things - going for a walk, trying to read anything to get my mind off of it. I’ve looked up the causes and it’s numerous things or numerous opinions on what causes it. Dehydration, being tired etc.
I’ve been totally inconsistent when it hits me. So it’s tough to determine what causes it. Frustrating

Try CBD, vitamin D, and or Co q10. Worked for me.

This is purely anecdotal. About a week ago I started having severe butt and leg cramps at night out of nowhere. My wife had Covid and associated muscle aches and I just assumed I had the same.
By chance, I had ordered some magnesium drops previously for a deficiency. I took the drops and immediately felt relief. Burst of energy too. Could easily be that I’ve recovered naturally but I feel 1000% better.

I would say talk to Dr. about a prescription for Requip. It's for RLS.
Also, magnesium and potassium, and drink a lot of water if you cramp. Also pickle juice if you get cramps.

Compression socks. Like the ones for old folks with diabeetus. Embarrassing but it works.

I use a product called Theraworx and it is great. Easy to get - Walmart, CVS, Target, etc... Get the foam formula.

I had to switch to the Restless Leg after Calm Legs went out of stock temporarily. I finally have some coming in again and I had much better results with it.

I’ll try stretching and using a muscle roller. Almost like a rolling pin to roll the muscles.
