I always thought Charleston would be a great place to live. I always love going there. Its not a major city but it has that historic charm to it, has great food, and great beaches and golf courses surrounding it.

Are we factoring in things like affordability of the real estate market, quality of public schools and other services,
availability of good jobs, etc?

If so, Austin might be a good choice.

Same here. I know we in the south are the butt of jokes while the millions of enlightened people live on top of each other in population centers but frick that.

I live on 100 acres and fish on the gulf coast 5 days a week. I’m good.
