My old man cried when Tom Landry and Reagan died. I will probably take Staubach’s the same way. Maybe Dirks, but I will probably go before him. Honestly don’t think any other famous person I can think of unless it’s a tragedy a la Kobe or Clemente.

Can't say that I cried about them but some have bummed me out more than others. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dimebag, Neil Peart. Pat Tillman.

Crews of Apollo I, Challenger, and then Columbia. Crews with giant brass balls died trying to make us all a little better.

I can't hear the phrase "slip the surly bonds" without getting misty.

The audio of this is absolutely terrifying and I regret listening to it.

Never cried over a death of someone I didn’t know personally; however, I still remember where I was when I heard that Fred Rogers died. Funny thing was it had likely been 25 years since I watched his show, but I felt genuinely sad when I heard the announcement on the radio.

I was sad when David Bowie died, but I didn’t cry.

Merle Haggard passing was extremely sad for me, but Mac Miller probably hit me the hardest emotionally bc we were only a year apart in age and I followed his career from the start and he just felt like somebody I could've been friends with in HS or something

Never cried, but Robin Williams’ suicide hit a lot of us pretty hard.

How soft is this board that they cry over people they’ve never met. Maybe you’re just a beta OP

Uh, what are you talking about? He is that generations Michael Jordan. Think about how everyone knows MJ was cut from his high school team. Everyone knows about his work ethic.

Kobe has that same mentality and if you paid attention and listened to the stories about him and the messages he shared through his movies and books, I’m not sure how you couldn’t say he was inspirational. He was a sports icon. He wasn’t as good as MJ but he was easily one of the best basketball players to ever play the game and he inspired people around the world.

Your comments are ignorant due to the fact that since you don’t feel that way, you don’t think anyone else can. I bet this mindset carries over into all facets of your life.
