Carley McCord, because I knew her and her family personally. It still isn't real to me and it has been about 7 weeks.

When Princess Diana died and they put the card on her casket that said, "Mummy" I teared up for her young boys.

I can't say I cried when it happened, but a while later, I had a calendar at my work with race horses for each month. I hadn't really paid much attention to who were on it when I got it. I turned to a new month and there she was. My eyes watered pretty good.

The other one that gets to me is Jim Valvano. Every damn time I watch his acceptance speech, I get the same reaction. (Yeh, I had to go do it again just now)

Laugh.....Think.....Cry.

and don't ever give up.

April 5, 2001. Layne Staley. I didn't cry but I still think about it and where music would be if he was still around. Dude was incredibly talented. Sucks that he threw it all away for drugs.

I did not cry when Payne Stewart died, but I did tear up reading "Payne", the book written after his death

Crying over a death of someone I don’t know personally seems odd and I can’t recall ever doing so. The death of Payne Stewart and the manner in which it happened probably made me the saddest. I don’t recall how long his plane was in the air and non-responsive to radio contact, but it seemed like it was a long time before the death was confirmed that day.

Arnold Palmer’s death was not a shock, but also sad news for a golf fan.

David Bowie. Was raised on his music and had a ton of memories singing his songs with family that isn’t with us anymore. That’s all I can think of.

it didnt get any better when i found out they took off knowing there were t-storms.
