Grandfather came down from Michigan for free grad school at LSU, got his MA in History in 1937. Taught w Hubert Humphrey. Dad got BA in ‘66, met mom who was living in Louise Gehrig, had me, went to Vietnam, came back and got JD in ‘73. My earliest memories are of married student housing on Nicholson. Mom went back for BS in Ed in ‘78. I got BA Poli Sci in ‘89, JD in ‘92. Oldest got BSN in 2012 and youngest BA in 2019. Now waiting on grandkids to Geaux.

I am not a graduate, but my Freshman year was at LSU in 1980. I am a procrastinator by nature, and so I ended up on the 5th floor of the West Stadium dorms.
I remember you well.

MBA 2018
Of all siblings, only one to graduate college.
Moved out of Louisiana in 2004. LSU because I wanted to carry a little piece of home wherever I go.

Class of 2010
I did have some cousins go to LSU. I’m the only immediate family member that attended.

And I swear it wasn't my fault.

Born and raised in BR. Family were casual LSU fans…I got hooked in the T Hodson and Shaq years and knew I always wanted to go to LSU from around the 3-4th grade reppin it up at Buchanan elem. At LSU I met my amazing no pics northshore wife of 23+ yrs when she was 19 and I was 22. We met through friends in Fountanbleau apts we lived in. I grad in 2000 and she in May 2003. Great times late 90’s-2003. Especially after I graduated, got a job and she was still in school.

Didn't know you were in TX as well. What city?
As for me, LSU was just close enough but not too far away in case I was needed. Had some ailing parents at the time plus I was a student athlete for two years there which took care of the out of state tuition so that worked out. Graduated twice from there with no debt.
