I graduated in 2009 and my school was around 93% white.
When my sisters attended in the late 90’s, it was around 98% white.
Now it’s 86% white, 9% black, 3% Hispanic and 2% other.
Catholic school in the Acadiana area.
Also went from a 2A school in the 90’s to a now large 4A school.

Same school.
I remember my senior class was 70% white and the freshman class was 30% white. The freshman class was also 3x our size because of some district maps redrawn after Clay Chalkville was created.

Mine was seriously like 49% white 49% black and 1% others.. There were three Asians.. They were siblings. I remember that because we used to call the Asians the 1%ers.. Not being mean about it, just joking around..
Now, if I had to guess, its probably like 96% black and 4% other... including whites.

One poster put in a approximate age on the difference. The rest of y'all could be a 40-year Delta. That would make this more informative. I didn't look mine up but I graduated in the '90s early but I was a project of judge John Parker.

Bogalusa high school was 50/50 in 1998, and that’s all I got to say about that.

I went to Chalmette High from 66-70 and I think there were only 2-3 black kids in Chalmette when I was a Senior.
So, more like 99.8% white, give or take a bit.

About 65 - 70% when I was in school back in the day. Was a good school and we all got along. Good times.
Now, your looking so 99.9%. Not good times.

North La sticks
Current
75% White
20% Black
5% other
Average ACT 21
Probably the same in 09 when I graduated. Average ACT was probably higher tho. I’d argue we had the Greatest Math teacher in the State back then.

Mine used to be about
54% white
45% black
1% other
Maybe closer together.
Now it’s
91% black
2% white
5% Hispanic
2% other
Soon after blacks became majority expectations started getting reduced and quickly went very high % blacks. It was eventually taken over by the state for awhile. It has improved a little from that bottom, but no where close to the quality that was handed over to blacks.
A lot of blacks had success and went to college in years around my class, but after enough whites had moved out to newer developments to give blacks the majority and taking very active parents with them that was not good enough and had to cater to lowest common denominator. Blacks doing well and going to college dropped as some of those moved as well but the others who stayed got dragged down.
