Broadmoor Sr. High School in Baton Rouge
Now with 66% from low-income families
Black 57%
Hispanic 32%
White 6%
Asian or Pacific Islander 5%
Two or more races 1%
Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander <1%
Native American <1%
In 1981 we had a half bus load of black students who came to this school so essentially it was 99% white. The first black football player played my junior year in 1980.
Buckskin Bill, The Valuzzo's (McDonalds), Dr. Billy Cannon and other wealthy, well known families were sending their kids to Broadmoor. Was already changing in 1983 when my brother graduated.

I checked mine and it's 22% black now and the vast majority of the rest are likely white. It was probably 80/20% when I was there due to forced busing.
I went to 2 high schools, and the other one was 100% white. It's 96% now, but it was referred to as a segregation academy when I was there.

When I graduated from high school there were four Native American kids and the rest were white.
Thirty years later there are four Native American kids (offspring of those from thirty years ago) and one black kid. The rest are white.
