That happened to a white friend of mine in college. The cops took his seats out and left them on the side of the road. Now he had just picked up a white friend of his that was a known drug dealer, but still. They were friends since they were kids.

I got pulled over in St. Gabriel on the way home from an LSU basketball game this past season. I deserved the ticket. I was polite, young cop was cool and even talked basketball a few minutes.

I got pulled over on I-310 in St. Charles Parish for speeding even though I was driving 60 and the vehicle on the side of me was passing me and was well over 60. Trooper jumps out onto I-310 and waves me over. I roll down window and explain to him he had stopped the wrong vehicle.
And the same thing happened to me on I-59 headed out of Louisiana headed 4 Tennessee when car flew past me in the left lane. I had the cruise control set at 72. Officer pulled me over wrote me a ticket.
Eta: I hit submit button goof. The gun thing did not happen. I forgot about the ticket. 1 year later I was pulled over for an expired tag in TN. Said I had an outstanding ticket from this incident. Took my license and it cost me a considerable sum.

Scruffy was pulled over once. He told that cop to get lost and he was all like, "sure".
And then Scruffy went for pancakes.

Amazing when you don't act like a jackass, nothing bad happens to you.
This.
And I've been pulled over for "driving while black" several times.

you should have facts, not opinion... police have the benefit of any unresolved, gray, or weak argument on your part. Anything less is butthurt barring a technical issue with equipment but then it is still a guilty verdict left to appellate courts... money money money, MONEY, For the LOve of Money....

You contradict yourself. You've been pulled over for driving while black yet never had any issues.

I always find cops to be extremely serious. I'm respectful and all typically works itself out but they clearly like to portray a sense of power from the very first sentence.

I'm always polite. I always get a ticket. I say thank you. They say have a nice day and drive safe.

I was pulled over on I10 in La for 75 in a 70 back when I was in med school. This wa mid July and it wa 100+ outside. He asked to search my car and I politely refused. The trooper had me step out of the car and I had my wife lock the door behind me. I guess this pissed him off as he threw me against the car and cuffed me. He said I made furtive movements...which was a lie. He then had my wife and 3yr old son get out of the car and sat us all down in the side of the interstate for an hour waiting for a K-9 unit. K-9 promptly "alerted" on my car so they tore up my car and threw everything in the ditch. They broke my glove box and tore my seat trying to get the rear seat out. When he didn't find anything he searched my wife and son. Still nothing. He then told me that he could take me to jail for assault on an officer and resisting arrest but he was going to do me a favor and let me go. They got in their vehicles and left. I was ficking livid. We spent 30mins picking up our shite in the sweltering heat.
I filed a complaint and sued those bitches. Judge threw it out bc the trooper "was in fear for his safety" when I got out of the car (lol) and he claimed to smell marijuana. Neither me nor my wife have ever used drugs.
All total that stop cost me over $5k.
I've been in the FTP crowd ever since.
Why didn't you let the cop do a search when initially asked if you had nothing to hide? Seems you could have avoided this trouble.

You didn't have time to speed up while going through a school zone? What?

I got a ticket but told the officer that I just turned and didn't have time to speed up.

I had a friend in BR from NYC for the weekend. Took him to Chelsea's for dinner. Had a beer with the meal. We left to go back to my apartment and I saw some friends turning off of Perkins when I was at the stop sign so I honked and waved. Officer was behind me and followed me into the GD and pulled me over. He kept asking me why I honked at the car and wouldn't believe that they were friends of mine. He asked if I had been drinking and I answered him honestly that I had a beer with dinner, but it had been nearly an hour before. He kept telling me he was just making sure I got home safe. I let him know I appreciated that and he could either follow me home (we were 2 blocks away) or he could bring me home and I could return to get my car later. That's when he said neither of those were happening and I was under arrest for DUI. I passed the field sobriety test, but refused the breathalyzer. I ended up spending 20 hours in jail, fighting it in court for 2.5 years, and spending $5k. Eventually the charge was dropped.

Because he's afforded that right in the 4th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

If you passed the field sobriety test, then why did you have to take a breath test? I hear this shite all the time.
A field sobriety test is designed for people to fail. Studies have been done on this, and its a sobering fact that sober people failed it alot more often than not. Never take those stupid tests.

I've been pulled over twice in the last 15 years. Both times in TX and both times in rental cars with Florida plates. First time because a highway patrolman was sitting on the shoulder of the road, only a couple of feet off it. No lights on at all but I let off the gas and moved into the left lane (wasn't speeding to begin with). Car behind me came flying by in the right lane between us and the cop pulled me over for going to slow in the left lane and wrote me a warning. I assume he was disappointed I wasn't running drugs and told him I was attempting to be courteous and ensure his safety.
Second time was at night and a local yocal in south Texas pulled me over for swerving within my lane. Looked at my license and said "you're a long way from home" and I replied "yes I am". When I go on road trips I keep a cooler in the front floor board and he asked me if I'd been drinking. I said no and opened the cooler and asked him if he wanted a green tea or a water....he responded by telling me to have a good night.
