went to one in Texas… they all stood around the pot telling the cook what to do.

Of course they did. It’s in their DNA.

Best: the crawfish.

Worst: the drunk guy making everyone uncomfortable. Seriously…be better.

The worst is walking the pot to the storm drain when cleaning up.

I'm OK with the work to do a boil and the associated clean-up involved.

I boil in the driveway and when they are done I bring them into the air conditioned man cave with a big table and chairs set up. Drop some CD's in the player and hit random, cold beer in the fridge and best of all "NO STINKING FLIES" getting all over everything.

For me, it's the shells in the garbage can waiting for the haulers to take it away after a Saturday boil and they pick up on Tuesday.

You stick a hose in the pot, then bring the other end to the storm drain, and start sucking.

Get a siphon going and there ya go.

For me the best is delicious crawfish and quality family time.

The worst is clean up afterwards and your house smelling like seafood for a day or two.

Those are pretty close to mine.

My girlfriend said is me giving her a little finger action in the bathroom, apparently spicy fingers aren't her thing...

How did you end up in Iowa? How is it? I’ve heard it’s a pretty nice place to raise a family, actually.

This. I always feel like the smell is still on my hands the next day no matter how many times I clean them. And if you go somewhere where you had to dress nice then after you stop by someone's house and they are boiling crawfish and they ask if you want some, if you do end up eating some you will likely end up messing up your clothes. I did this once. And had a stain on the shirt I couldn't get off..

Love the new organic crawfish and hate when I get a hole in my crawfish gloves when eating them.

Best is putting a Honey Baked ham in the pot, post boil, and let it soak in the seasoning over nite.

I’ve been wearing gloves when eating them this year. I feel like a weirdo but my fingers don’t stink after. I hate for my hands to smell but love crawfish.

Sydney, gloves are a must, but do yourself a favor and start dipping them in Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq sauce.
