Anyone who does CrossFit would absolutely survive, since they have been mastering functional movements

Me and my Boy Scouts would surprise a few cool kids.....just sayin
-----------------------------------------------------------
My youngest sister's son just moved up to the Boy Scouts. He's about 45 years younger than me. I spoke w/ her on Easter Sunday and she was commenting that between new gear and scheduling two summer camps of a week each that they'd already spent almost $1,000. She was happy that he was enthusiastic about it and the expense didn't put any real financial strain on their household, but $1,000 is still a lot of money. What did I think?
I then listed a series of situations in my life that Boy Scout skills prepared me for. Real shite - swimming, canoeing, rowing, sailing, lifeguarding, first aid, knots and lashings, wilderness survival, reading a map, using a compass, land navigation, and shooting a .22 at the Camp Salmen rifle range. And that doesn't even include the "help an old lady across the street"/be a fricking civilized human being aspect of scouting.
It's too bad it's not "cool" for kids to be in the Scouts. Now that I think about it, it wasn't cool when I was in either! I guess I was just fortunate to be funny enough and big enough to either joke or fight my way out of any peer pressure at school.

I reckon I could get 3 or 4 good looking wives out of the deal

Tbh, I'd probably kill myself from the nagging of 4 wives before anything else

This baw knows what's up.
A country boy can indeed survive.
In all seriousness, i'd just roll out to my house in the country and watch the large urban centers descend in to chaos, giggling the entire time.

If the roads and stores vanish then I expect all modern firearms would be gone as well.

You should read "One Second After". It's about an EMP over the U.S. I don't want to spoil it, but a rather significant part of the population is dead within a year. In fact, things turn to shite very quickly. I hope @real knows about this.

Don't know how to hunt, fish, and forage? Suuuucks to be you buddy.

I grew up in rural Louisiana and lived in the woods probably 80% of the time. I would survive. Now my kids probably not but after a couple Buck ambushes I may prolong their lives a little longer. Rebel I wonder if we could drag our womenz by the hair in this new world?

I don't see any other way.
If we drag them by their ankles, their pussies will fill up with dirt.

I wouldnt give it 6 months in either scenario. The city folk would be fighting and dying at grocery stores for food that will spoil in no time. Im sure there would be some hitting the jewelry stores. The gun shops would be raided in no time and before you know it all these little urban wars would kill around 50% in the first 3 months.
The country people could survive. It would be rough but it could be done.

Try to imagine that being the sole source of food for a population that's reduced to walking. Also consider what happens when medications run out.
which is why you want to be as far as possible from urban centers. It's going to get Hobbesian REAL fricking fast...

People would think back and say "damn, I used to have good. What the hell was I always complaining about".

What % of the population would die
Depends on many factors.
I've actually thought about this shite. Our family is better prepared than most for a disaster.
