I didn't care about the lion that much but THAT video is fricked up. If that whale shark was actually alive then that does piss me off. There are humane ways to do things. Why anyone would cut something up like that while it's still alive is beyond me. It's fricking cruel.

The only thing I find disturbing is how easy it is to cut through. I have a heck of a time getting through the ribs of a catfish with a electric knife and these guys take a damn tree saw and butcher a boat size shark like its butter.

Yeah, I used to commercial fish to help pay for college. While the fish were slowly dying, you rip their organs out and throw them on ice. Anyone that has a problem with this, I hope you choke on a fish bone the next time you buy fish from a store. Pussification of America never ceases to amaze me.

Don't most people who catch fish throw the keepers into an ice box while they are fully alive? They freeze to death while they suffocate without any oxygen from the water.....so they die a horrible death of drowning out of water along with hypothermia to boot. I'd rather get sawed to death.

So how should have I harvested the fish that I caught that was brought to people's tables, like yours? Please, do tell. Should I have waited until the blood settled and have a fish that doesn't taste as good? It would still slowly suficate. Should I have held each fish and rocked them to sleep?
Behind the scenes isn't pleasant to some. You are obviously a rainbow and unicorn type person. Don't watch videos like that. Eat your fish that someone else had to kill, and go to sleep knowing that you would never do such a thing, if it makes you feel better.

No I usually just throw them on ice. No need to hit them. I eat fish and respect the animals I kill and eat.

That's not the way it works when wanting to have a product to sell that is top quality/grade. Should I kill crawfish before I let them sit in a sack and slowly die before boiling them alive?
Seriously, some people just shouldn't watch such things. It's not for everyone, but almost everyone consumes such animals that are harvested in manners that aren't PC. If people truly cared, they would be VAGetarians.
