Its not debatable, Comrade.

The only debatable issue is what wage draws them back to work. I say just end UI extra benefits, the crisis is over.

Employment app drops

•New York: -25%
•Florida: -22%
•California: -20%
•Texas: -15%

Yet, 16.2 million people still claim unemployment benefits.

There was an epidemic of quitters in AK once the little people found they could collect more in UI, even after the penalty for voluntarily quitting.

I guess we are about to find out who is right soon enough

my guess is the numbers will get slightly better, but not as the same as pre-pandemic, so both sides will claim victory

Yea he’s not the smartest guy. Been to rehab twice for drugs, can barely keep a job because he’s lazy and quits after 4-5 months
He really thought he’d get that extra benefit plus unemployment.

And he did not

Good.

they system is so fricked up. It helps those who refuse to help themselves and doesn't help those who were displaced by actions not their own, who aren't being compensated enough.

I worked for labor for 18 months, couldn't stomach it anymore. You're dealing with some really terrible people most of the time.

Oh, it will.

When these people have no base period to keep drawing off of, they'll work.

well we are about to find out

I'm not so optimistic, as I tend to believe that things are very rarely controlled by single variables, which I believe is the point Mingo has been trying to make, just with more anger

Outside of California New York, and maybe Michigan are we not?

Then why the continued UI? That's the point of this thread.

"humiliating drug testing"

Do any companies which are not in federally regulated industries do this?

Well, the labor shortage on the low end of the spectrum is much easier to deduce. Its simple behaviorism.

Even with cruise ship traffic non existent this summer (thanks Canada, you frickers) people are still having shortages here. Cruise ship jobs bring in several thousand, mostly college age kids from out of State.

In this board? Whatever McConnell and Cruz tell them it is. They don't know yet, but when they get theirarching orders they'll be ready.
Maybe Soros is paying them all to sit home and make Trump look bad.

That's the thing the right often misses. Leftist ideas are dangerous and damaging to the country, but democrats are much better politicians and play the game on a different level.

The left has no conscience and does not care what the “win” costs.

No, they really aren't. The problem is that they cater to the lowest common denominator of the voting population. The low-IQ cohort that puts their personal feelings first and personal responsibility somewhere at the bottom. It's an unfortunate majority.

Umm. Maybe the most wealthy. Maybe the ones with the most liberal arts degrees.

Definitely not the most educated. Your lower half brings you way, way down on the overall average
