honestly, I have never heard of such shite...

I can understand them not wanting phones ringing during the events, but it comes off as them just trying way too hard to be the center of everyone's undivided attention...

What happened in 1992ish? Did people stop talking at weddings? Dancing? What?

My finacee and I are planning on having our wedding 100% virtual. Only way for family and friends to access the wedding is via Periscope.

There are a lot of people who have to have their phone on them pretty much 24/7 for work. This cell phone ban is pretty stupid.

No, the intent it to keep pictures off of facebook before they post them.

are you sure its to prevent wedding goers from getting in the way of the photographers? That isn't all that rare these days. The couple pays good money for the photographers and a lot of times people get in their way when they are trying to shoot, especially in the church.

Who the frick do they think they are?
The bride and groom. It's how they want to do their wedding and reception. If people have a problem with it then they don't have to go.

Who do YOU think YOU are trying to tell someone what rules they can and can't have at their own wedding?

Is anyone telling them they can't in this thread? Mostly, we're calling it stupid because, you know, it is.

Not only that but parents who have kids being babysat.

I doubt anybody abides by their rule.

Of course.

Forgot to mention the priest is going to be wearing a GoPro, so we'll have a stream running off of that as well.

I don't have an issue with no phones at the ceremony but they shouldn't be trying to keep them out of the reception. I hate when idiots have their phones on in church.
