They probably don’t know either. Not like there is a playbook.

There's a wedding this weekend near Houston. Originally planning around 300 people in attendance.

ZERO communication so far whether it's still a go or canceled.

The CDC is now recommending no groups of larger than 50. The least they could do is inform the invitees the status of the wedding. Would you still go if they don't cancel? For clarification, it's not my friends but the SO's friends. Not in the wedding.

I'd say frick it and count it as a win.

Is there an open bar? South LA rules state you can't decline if there is an open bar or a free T-shirt (that really only applied to LSU sorority events) involved.

In their defense they didn't ask for this shite

They're probably deciding whether to eat 100k or push on

A lot of brides would happily let 3 attendees die before they interrupted their day

President just said the latest guidelines are to avoid gatherings greater than 10 people.

First off, let's get to the really important questions...

Are you high-risk or regularly around people that are?

Do you even like these friends of your SO's?

Is there going to be an open bar?

They probably already had to pay for everything, so you'd really be doing them a service by showing up and taking advantage of seconds and thirds at the buffet line. At least it won't all be for nothing.

So just don't go for your own sake. Pretty easy decision, IMo.

Same here. Our reception venue just cancelled on us. That made the decision a little easier.

Well then one of the grooms needs to step up and let people know the plan... and the contingency plan.
