Usually about Thxgiving, give or take a few days.

Last year the whole month of October was really nice with a hell of a cold front in mid November. Unfortunately we pretty much shot our wad in those 2 months as far as cold weather goes.

It seems like it's been 80 on Christmas Day the past few years.

October is usually a pretty warm month. We had a really good cold front come through around October 20 last year. It'll probably be around the same time this year since we're stuck in this current pattern.

Yeah, last October seemed like it was cooler than average, but I was working in the field the whole month so I couldn't have been happier.

For the last 4-5 years in South Louisiana, the first morning temps in the 60’s has started around Oct 17th

I'm tired of it. Went cycling this morning and set all time high HR records for 5 minutes to an hour. I wasn't even pushing hard.

If I didn't love my job I'd probably leave this shite hole.

It used to be right before Thanksgiving. The robins would appear right before. Now most of the robins are gone. I wish I wouldn’t have shot so many thousands when I was a kid. Robin jambalaya is really good.

Never wanted summer to end more than this year. Try to go do some yard work and soaked after 15 min...as I have gotten older heat bothers me more than when I was young and didn't care...

. I wear swim trunks and shrimp boots to do yard work . As soon as I get hot,I hose myself down with water.. Might do it ten times in a day. It keeps me going.

What are you talking about? It's cooler outside right now.

Cooler than it was in August.

It varies, just like every year. October is the best month, much lower humidity, may be hot in the sun so much cooler in the shade with nice gentle breeze.

Wasn’t that many years ago when you could count on the first taste of Autumn by the second or third week of September. Last year was a miserable September. Don’t think we got down below 70 until hurricane Michael dragged a front down west of it. That was what oct 10? This little dry front that came down is more typical for first week of September.

First night in the 50s I’m going to say will be oct 7 this year. Just as good a guess as these bozos who rely on computer models to tell them everything yet act like they understand weather.

The models have shown one for a while but it keeps pushing it back every time it doesn't happen.

But yet their models know exactly what the global temperature will be in 50 years
