Wearing a mask doesn’t do as much as the Karens think it does

If it did, it would already be legally required by now. Kinda like how idiots say using your cell phone when on a plane messes with the planes electronics. If it truly did, they’d make it law to put it in checked baggage. It’s all bullshite. End rant

I made a post a couple of weeks ago linking multiple news outlets, even the surgeon general, all stating that masks don't really help.

Masks are a feel good thing, they don't really do much.

a bunch of people at the grocery store were wearing masks over their mouths, but not their noses. It was comical.

I feel like if it was a law, you’d be bitching about the overreach of the law and point out “if it did anything” no one would be getting sick.

I’m bitching about the overreach of the law as it is. I want people to act responsibly for their own health. I want to open up, frick this nanny state bullshite.

why does it bother you so much if other people wear masks?

Masks absolutely work. Do they prevent every single infection? No. Do they prevent some infections? Yes. Which brings down the R0 of the virus and it eventually burns out.

Why does it have to be all or nothing with people like you? You don’t have to fight back against literally everything as a hoax

It’s getting more annoying than the Karens of the world

Hard to find fault in ironclad logic like this.

I never said it was a hoax. I don’t like that we can’t just tell people to use common sense hygiene practices and tell high risk folks to stay home. Also don’t like getting death stares for not wearing a mask.

Have you seen what the average American adult looks like? They stopped acting responsibly A LONG time ago

A valid point, but The great thing about good personal hygiene practices is that if you do them yourself it can help to defend against those who may not practice it as much. Washing hands for lengthy periods of time, not standing so close to folks, covering coughs and sneezes, using hand sanitizer regularly, etc., can all help deter against other people’s shortcomings in the hygiene department.
