Would rather have people’s feelings hurt than see all these lardos wobbling around.

As someone who just started a new diet and is down 13 pounds. I fully agree with this.

As someone that used to be fat and chose to lose weight after receiving a few assholish comments, I agree to an extent.

It shouldn't really be done by bullying, but it shouldn't be overlooked.

To be honest, it's all mental. If you really want to lose it, you easily can. I'm not a fan of the excuses.

IN! I was in denial for so long... finally looked in the mirror and said frick you...you're fat and unhealthy and you need to change shite... so far down 40 lbs and feeling better than I have in years. It's not fat shaming..it's honesty.

It truly is amazing how many obese people there are. I don't know the actual # but I would say it's 60-70% at least. Next time you're in a public place, just scan around and you'll be amazed by the lard on display.

Yep. I think 40% of Americans are obese. Not overweight but obese! That's pure insanity. Fat has become normal in the US.

100% agree with this.

Fat people cost us tons of money with their additional medical costs.

Fat people take up too much space on airplanes

Fat people eat a disproportionate amount when people eat together

Fat people require larger clothes, so stores carry too many extra large sizes and not enough regular sizes

I can go on

Fat Shaming in the Doctor's Office Can Be Mentally and Physically Harmful

quote:

“Disrespectful treatment and medical fat shaming, in an attempt to motivate people to change their behavior, is stressful and can cause patients to delay health care seeking or avoid interacting with providers,” presenter Joan Chrisler, PhD, a professor of psychology at Connecticut College, said

So if you're a doctor don't tell people how to be healthy you fat shaming bastard

You don’t understand the psychological underpinnings to extreme obesity. You can shame em all you want, 90% of them will just get fatter . Shame doesn’t work with addiction. It might make you feel righteous, but it doesn’t actually solve anything .

Agreed. I love when fat people ask stupid questions liike "when are you going to do x"

It's fun to respond with "when are you going to lose some weight"

We could also promote more healthy eating and portion control. Truth is, short of cooking and eating at home, your choices in eating out all the time suck balls if you’re actually trying to watch fat, sugar, and salt intake. Restaurants cook what sells, and the bad shite sells, which is why it’s on the menu. When Americans change their demands, the restaurants will change what is offered. Until then, our choices are limited because of what we want to put in our mouths.

These things really don’t resonate with people until their metabolism changes.
