How can negotiations occur between two groups on increasingly opposite sides of the political spectrum? Where is the middle ground between a radical socialist dug in on identity politics and a conservative nationalist?
At a certain point, if you can’t agree on a premise for reality to begin the discussion then conversations can’t really proceed.
Also, you’re ignoring the fact that the RNC absolutely despised Trump and actively worked to sabotage his chances unlike Hillary who was coronated before the primary even began. Trump was the closest thing to a 3rd party candidate we’ve had in quite a while.
