You don’t compromise with Revolutionary radicalism. You don’t sit down and discuss things rationally with people who have disavowed critical thinking and who have set course for destruction . You don’t reason with the mob. And that’s where we find ourselves. Not because both sides have reached that point, but because DEMOCRATS/Leftists have reached that point.
As for the label moderate , sure it can come with personal conviction. I pride myself on approaching problems in a non- ideologically- rigid manner and being pragmatic. I think our system require a lot of that to function correctly. But I also know that many self proclaimed “ moderates “ are actually just apolitical and largely ignorant of the facts behind the issues swirling in the culture.
Ultimately, the most important thing is not that America hugs it out. What is important is that we DO NOT ALLOW DANGEROUSLY BAD IDEAS to flourish. It’s a really bad idea to coddle and pander to the sociopaths who are agitating for national destruction. It’s far better to have the conflict , to fight it out, to purge the anti Constitutional radicals from the body politic. Fight for free speech. Fight for equal protection. Oppose violence. Oppose Maoist- style shaming and humiliation. Oppose property destruction . And then , after you defend your traditions, principles, ideals and Institutions—moderate people can get along with other moderate people.

Hopefully it fades, but we don't have all of the usual distractions like sports to take peoples' minds off of it. Adding to it is that every big form of entertainment and business has made it so in your face that it's infuriating apolitical people that normally wouldnt give a damn. It's really serious when diehard Alabama fans are talking about giving up watching footballit if they protest.
Another important part that people forget is that we went through months of lockdown of everything for the coronavirus. People lost loved ones and were stopped from saying goodbye or having a proper funeral, businesses went under or took huge losses, people were arrested for going to the park with kids, and then were mocked by leftists for complaining.
Then after the death of a felon being arrested, leftists politicians and the media make an exception and celebrate and lie about looting and protesting then give him 3 large public funerals. Dare to criticize anything about their propaganda? Good luck because you'll get swarmed by SJW and have your life and career ruined.
One last thing, if theres a surge in the coronavirus because of the protests and the openings and normal people get blamed and told to lock down again, it'll really get ugly.
On the shitter so I'm rambling a bit. Oh well.
