I tried it a handful of times a few years ago, and it never successfully got me to my destination. When I put in the airport in whatever city I was going in, and it took me to a neighborhood street that dead-ended at the fence on the airport's perimeter, I deleted it.

My wife uses it, so I guess it's not a worthless POS these days, but I'm fine with what I use.

I used to do it all the time but the drive to/from work just got so predictable that I stopped. It bit me in the arse yesterday with that wreck on 12.

I heard that since Google bought Waze they were going to incorporate Waze into Google Maps and Waze will eventually go away.

Yeps Googley owns Waze.

They have incorporated the speed traps for about a year now.

My rule of thumb is I use Gmaps for Commute and familiar areas like BR and Nola just to see where traffic is fricked.

But I use Waze for roadtrips. Like today going to Austin.

How many of you use Waze for your daily commute?

Every day. Vital for me in SA--has saved my arse countless times during morning rush hour.

I feel like Waze doesn't even ask me anymore. We both know I'm going to work/home at a certain time.

is there a setting on Waze that shows an overview of the entire route? All I get is a POV for a few miles. I want to know if the basin bridge is fricked up while I'm still in Laffy or BR-

You can zoom out.

Also you can turn off certain notifications, like showing an icon for every other wazer on the road.

How does this work, do you report the accident/cop/whatever in real time as you pass it?

Wouldnt this encourage people to mess with their phones while driving?

I am well over a million points, use it daily. I keep waiting for something good to redeem my points.
