I’m a Waze addict. Cannot tell you how many tickets, road hazards and detours I’ve avoided.

How many of you use Waze for your daily commute?

King wazer on like 3 accounts here

I like how they scaled down the points from years ago. People were just putting random shite all over

Used to, but the last year or so it seems that Google Maps does a better job avoiding traffic, and also gives you heads-up on radar, like Waze.

I heard that since Google bought Waze they were going to incorporate Waze into Google Maps and Waze will eventually go away.

I think Waze has lost its touch over the last few years. It hasnt really advanced. It doesnt warn of upcoming accidents or traffic like you would think. Its often too late. It doesnt take red lights into account and often wants you to try and U turn into a busy street.

I want it to learn my favorite routes where a saved favorite destination might have 3 or 4 different routes all within 2-3 minutes ETA of each other. However due to traffic, on ramp merging, redlights that happen the same everyday (rush hour), I want it to learn the route I normally take as base route. Ive noticed a few times I will deviate from suggested route and it will immediately notice my route is ~5 mins ETA quicker than calculated best route no matter what settings I have.

Anyone have any other app suggestions?

is there a setting on Waze that shows an overview of the entire route? All I get is a POV for a few miles. I want to know if the basin bridge is fricked up while I'm still in Laffy or BR- when I have time to take an alternate. INRIX shows me the whole route. I can figure out my own alternates. I just need to know where the problem is.

I shite canned that app in 2016. Damned thing was showing flooding where streets were just about dry. It always had alerts for highway slowdowns just because someone was changing a tire or a car was parked on the shoulder.

I use it at least once a day, usually a few times.

No way I'll drive to Lafayette or New Orleans without using the app. Insane to cross the Atchafalaya without it. Those speeding tickets will break the bank.

I probably save a day out of my year just from the times that Waze tells me where the backup on the Mississippi Bridge starts.
