Ways to Tell Someone is Utterly Full of shite from their LinkedIn profile

These really set off my BS detector. If you see any of the following, you are likely dealing with a narcissistic/impcompetent a-hole. I'd advise you to avoid.
99+ endorsements in some ridiculously basic skill like data entry
500+ connections without holding a professional job as of yet
Title includes some vague bullshite that makes the individual sound respectable, such as "humanitarian, visionist, or leader"
They include a college they apparently attended yet make no mention of what degree they earned, congrats on flunking out and partying
They have joined countless groups looking for status validation for some mild accomplishment, for example countless Ivy League related groups because they received some BS certificate from a member that took no meaningful qualifications to receive
They use the third person
They list "causes they care about," your desire to save the whales has no influence on your competency as a professional unless the job involves whales

I have a 1st cousin that is on ripoff report .com and Reject his connect request every time he sends it. I know that mother fricker doesn't have a job and his profile says something like acquisition specialist. That's just one example of shitty people I know that are on linkedin. In the last 12 to 15 months it has become the Facebook of the business world. I had a chick today post a selfie as a fricking post. She's hot as shite but it was just a picture of her in her car and nothing else.

Serious question, what is LinkedIn?
Posted on 1/30/17 at 11:02 pm to TheWalrus
LinkedIn has gotten terrible and is increasingly becoming more like Facebook.
Anyway, I don't fault anyone fluffing their resume a little. It's an employer's market- has been for the past 10-15 years. Young professionals need 5-10 years experience for jobs that pay 40k now. I don't fault slight exaggeration on their profile.
Just don't go sayin you're a full-fledged rigger, when clearly you're just a lowly roustabout though.

WTF? How has asking people if they need a buggy at Walmart been going for you?

Why would I care?

I know a girl that uses one of those flowery Snapchat filters for her linkedin profile. She is 30 years old

I have concluded somebody is full of shite if they take LinkedIn seriously.

I have a linkedin profile, but find them unreliable for some of these reasons.

Exactly. When this company was first valued about the time of the IPO it was somewhere around 4 billion. I think at that time Clorox was also somewhere around 4 billion. When's the last time anyone bought a darn thing from LinkedIn?
