A small spacecraft impacting a 100 meter wide solid iron rock isn’t going to do much.
It’s probably more of a proof of concept for using a 25 megaton nuke to do most of the deflecting.
Edit: Even then, it could take weeks or months to see a significant visual change in the asteroid trajectory. We’re talking about object with orbits around the Sun of planets of millions of miles.
But isn't it true that even a tiny variation over time can drastically change the course of the asteroid?

True. All the more reason not to expect cinematic-level changes in the asteroid’s trajectory like you see in Armageddon when Harry detonates the bomb at the last possible second and the two halves blast apart at such velocity that each goes to opposite sides of the planet.
If only Michael Bay could direct real life.

I don't know if it was fake, but it was definitely a made for TV event.

Yep.
There are plans to try to paint an asteroid at some point because changing it's reflectivity thus the heat it absorbs is enough to alter its course over time.

NASA has eyes on it so does Italy a few others
they probably wont be able to gauge for a couple of weeks

The best part is how they timed this perfectly between the television commercials. That takes lots of skill.

Idiot me was wondering why we didn’t have a side, 3rd party shot.

Show me the impact from another angle, how much was it deflected, what was the outcome?
They forgot to send the accompanying probe.

So they redirected Dimorphous to earth? This is the Great Reset depopulation plan.
I kid I kid. Seriously, this is a big accomplishment.

they actually will in time. A small camera module detached before impact to film it from 3rd person view. Also both the Hubble and Webb were focusing on the event. Not sure on timeline but I don't think we can expect any of those in the next few days yet
Edit: The attempt is to change the path/angle by like 1% which at enough distance can easily be center of earth vs flyby
