Not a fan of Portnoy at all but the owner of that pizza establishment is such an a-hole I had to take Portnoy's side.

Dave's scale is kinda weird. He has a handful of pizzas that are 9+ which is basically his Mt. Rushmore. Anything he has in the 8's he claims it is worth traveling to a city just to eat the pizza. Anything in the 7's means if you're already visiting a city, this is a good spot to get good pizza. Anything in the 6's and lower is pretty much just serviceable pizza.

Portney did so much for these pizza shops when he started doing these reviews. It was a clever idea. “One bite everyone knows the rules”.

I’m not a Portnoy basher. I like what he does for small business. That being said nobody will EVER “out-petty” Dave Portnoy!

he doesn't really give bad reviews these days. i don't watch all of the reviews but you can tell when he's being nice by giving some nice mom and pop place a 7.3 when it probably deserves something much lower.

I don’t understand why he came back out the second time. If he just left after the first time he would have looked dumb but it wouldn’t have blown up like this

I’ve had Dragon a few times.
1. The Italian sausage and ricotta pizza is pretty fricking delicious
2. Portnoy is correct, their pizza is a bit floppy
3. That owner is a douchebag and deserves whatever shite he gets
Should’ve just gone to Pini’s Pizza instead, then walk a few doors down to Sligo and get hammered.
