Watch a Corvette ZR1X smoke a Jesko in a 1/4 mile drag race

For those that don't know, the Koenigsegg Jesko and Rimac Nevera are considered the 2 fastest production cars in the world. Both are in the $2.5-3M range. These are the apex of automotive engineering.
The Corvette ZR1X is a new variant of the C8 that you can buy for $250k, in theory from your local Chevy dealer.
It's been destroying track records around the world and has surpassed all but the very apex of the hypercar offerings from around the world.

It beat it by about 3 inches but when you’re paying $3 million for a car, it should take an F-22 to beat it.

The ZR1X is a lot of car for the money. The couple guys I know who got them paid roughly 2X MSRP. And they do drive them although in a rotation of exotics and highly modified cars.

Of course they can’t just show the race. They have to talk, try to be funny, cut back and forth, and show themselves over and over. Youtubers are annoying.

Not taking anything away from the ZR1X that is a race the Jesko was never going to win because that isn't what it was built for even if Christian built you a car that actyally runs and drives, but that is another topic. First, it is RWD, I didn't hear them mention it but I doubt they were running it on E85, which bumps power up from 1280 to 1600hp. When the Vette runs out of juice, the Koenigsegg has about 50 more mph on tap it is built as a Vmax car but if ~280 isn't enough then you can get the Jesko Absolut with is theoretically capable of 330mph. That car traps the 1/4 at 190 mph and has done 0-250-0 in 25,2 seconds. Those are mind-boggling numbers. It isn't like you get nothing for the extra millions.
Cars with 2 different missions that are each very good at what they were designed for. One just happens to be a super value. The other gets you a prime spot at any Cars and Coffee.
