It is their responsibility to take care of themselves & their health
The more this goes on the more pissed I get at this sentiment especially with the fact that comorbidities play a huge part in the seriousness of the virus / death
Because someone doesn’t take care of themselves for 50 years a toddler is supposed to wear a mask?
Too many people in this country have lost all personal responsibility

I've been saying this since March. We have set a threshold of death so low that they can justify these policies based on the seasonal flu/pneumonia death rates in children.

My 2 boys are 9, always loved school. They hated virtual last year at the end of the year specifically because they couldn't see their friends.
They complained more about school last year solely because of having to mask up more than every complain about school they've ever made combined times about 100 lol. They absolutely hated it.

I’m not masking anymore since I’m vaccinated and I’m not making my kids wear one anymore because everyone else has had months to get vaccinated. Not continuing that nonsense safety theater.

Question for OT parents: Do you, or have you ever, masked your child during flu season? Have schools ever forced masks on kids for flu season?
If this Delta variant is less risky for children under 12 than the flu, isnt this new panic and the push to mask kids just a bunch of bullshite?
It's as though the panic is fading and the media/bureaucrats/politicians/healthcare workers are addicted to the attention and fearmongering.

Exactly. My kids went the entire school year without a mask. Now that there is a vaccine and fewer people with covid in the population, my kids have to wear a mask?

This is all to play on parents emotions and rush them to get their kid vaccinated (if over 12)
I still can’t get an answer why flu vaccines aren’t mandated when the flu is worse for kids than fricking covid.
