Basketball, my sophomore year we won our first district title then ran off like 16 in a row including a state championship.

When I was in High School in the 80's most would have considered Ponchatoula High as a baseball school. Now after having won state championships in girls basketball in 2015 and 2021. The boys have just won back to back Louisiana state championships in 2023 and 2024 some may say we are a basketball school. But this is South Louisiana, we all always be a football school.

growing up, way before i ever got there, CL used to be pretty good in football... but shite, after like 1997 or so, CL ain't did shite in damn near any sport, with girl's soccer being an exception... my friend Jude coached them, and had them state runner up about 3 years ago, i believe...
other than that, CL athletics has long been dismal...

They have a pretty solid bowling team and In the early 2000s they made it to the QFs in baseball.
