I watched the doc on Netflix recently about the big trial in early 2000s. I wondered how much Michael was abused and if his parents were aware at the time.
I’m sure Michael had good qualities and did love children in normal ways but also was an evil and delusional monster. Likely his father was the main reason he evolved in that way. You can instantly see it in Joe’s eyes and aura.

He was a monster. I think it’s been well known and documented for decades now.

is it just Hollywood blowing things up?
It is the estate of Michael Jackson doing anything it can to not talk about pedophilia.

You think Michael Jackson was that screwed up for nothing?
I think the movie was pretty lenient on how he was portrayed actually.

He had no childhood. A Rosebud of sorts. I think most of his life was trying to recover what he never had. I think the hospital visits etc to sick kids were genuine. But somewhere along the way, he went the wrong way or put himself in positions that could easily be taken the wrong way. I suspect in some way, MJ was mentally or emotionally on the same level as those kids, so emotionally crippled he was.

there’s the problem with the facts right there, that was such a drugged up delusional bunch of people that their recollections have no validity

Marvin Gaye's dad was a control freak preacher who dressed in women's clothing every day after he got home from the church.

By all accounts, he was a raging, abusive a-hole.
but hey, he was active in his children's lives!

By all accounts he was an abusive a-hole to all of his kids. This isn't just Internet rumors. Multiple of his kids have all verified this. It's not really debatable.
You could maybe debate if his fricked up methods worked. He got all 9 of his kids a record deal and on tv. With 2 of them becoming musical superstars.

He was more the monster he was made out to be in "The Jacksons: An American Dream."
Was a very good miniseries.

That's a perfect way to put it. I think MJ never had the chance to grow up. Joe's abuse, the fame, all of it stunted his emotional awareness and put him on the spectrum.
I guess I think of him like a toddler, who "loves" a puppy or kitten to death. They meant no harm, and the intention was good, but the outcome was not.
And, as an adult male, there should be consequences.
