How do Walmart delivery people make money? Are they store employees?

We order delivery items, they show up either same day or next day and the app doesn't ask for a tip to be added.

Lost me with this

Taking that into account if you use the delivery every week, that’s another several hundred dollars minimum on the year if you’re tipping $10 every time.

frick that

I have both of these and I wonder if I would get a discount or $$ back?

Worth it to me to not have to get dressed, drive there, park, etc. $10 to get my time back is way worth it.

10% tip
Is 100% worth it.

$5 on a $50 order and I didn’t have to go there. Get home after work on Friday and my weekend groceries magically appear.

Plus you don’t buy random impulse stuff walking the aisles. Saves me a ton right there.

Have any of you used scan and go at Walmart? I used it at Sams Club all the time,

Yes. Very nice since their lines are usually 20 deep. It is different they have a special register that you go to to confirm it all that is different than Sam's. Full story I dont usually get a bunch of stuff but it is very nice not having to wait.

So does it work both ways? If you already have a Sam’s Club+ membership, can you upgrade to the Walmart plus for free?

Open the Sam's Club app. The first thing it will show is if you want to link your Sam's Club account to Walmart+ at no additional cost.

Easier if you make a regular Walmart account with the same email you're using for Sam's Club beforehand.

Walmart grocery delivery certainly has a tip area. Looks like you're just missing it.

I mean. Getting groceries shopped for, checked out, and delivered via car to your home is a luxury service.

Nobody is forcing anyone to do it, but yes, if you're choosing to have someone else do your chores for you, a tip (or service fee) is appropriate.

I have a Walmart + account under my email address and a regular Sams account under the wife's email address, I wonder if there is a way to combine them for this?

Are you serious? You'd drive to Wal-Mart, wade through the store shopping while dodging the fat arse scooter riders through the isles, stand in a long line waiting to checkout and bag your items, then haul your cart to the car to load all the shite you bought.

It's worth twice the tip fee to me to have someone else go through all that hassle AND hand deliver my order to my door, then all I have to do it put the groceries away.

Grocery delivery for free. It's a gamechanger for busy families.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm not letting someone else pick out my produce, seafood or meat products just because going to the store is looked upon as an inconvenience by some.

Maybe I'm too OCD or just an a-hole, but I would never want someone else to shop for my groceries. Have you seen the people that are doing the shopping for these online orders? You want those goons picking out your meat/produce for you?

I enjoy grocery shopping, but I also rarely go to Wal Mart

Are you seriously this cheap and can not see the value in a free delivery service, and only having to tip the driver? What is your personal time actually worth?

There are some discounts on some streaming (Paramount was, but I do not know if that is still true).
Their website says Scan and Go but I didn't know that was offered (I would subscribe for this alone).

all of this, and...

free delivery is not just on groceries; it applies to almost everything.
some pretty good offers on the burger king app (25% off any order, once daily; free item of choice once a quarter and some others that pop up from time to time.)

We have a Kroger right next to our house. If you use the app and digital deals you can save a lot. Also, Friday's is 4x fuel points. We get 1.00 off per gallon regularly filling up at the kroger station.
