When walking in a place with a lot of people going in 2 different directions, do you try to adhere to standard American vehicle travel laws? Meaning stay on the right side and let others going the opposite way pass on your left. I do. And you should as well. Some people don’t do this and really screw things up

To add to that, people walking at a slight angle and not in a straight line she be taken out back and tarred and feathered.

Generally yes, but if there are a group of assholes walking 3 wide and dragging arse, I'm passing wherever I can.

I like to walk fast and move with purpose. I hate fricking people who wander aimlessly and randomly stop. I really frickin hate groups of people that decide to spread out as much as possible as soon as they can and not let fast walkers through.

One thing I love about New Yorkers is they walk like people should and will body check you out of the frickin way if you lolligag around like Southerners.

I walk backwards with earbuds in while screaming away the toxic masculinity of those who bump into me.

pretty sure you meant to post this in your diary but since you asked, you'll never get women to conform to any systematic pedestrian patterns

I can honestly say I've never fricked anyone who wander aimlessly and randomly stop.

I kick people who are pushing side by side strollers.

I walk and run on Emory's campus a lot, and I'm amazed at how 99% of the students can't abide by the most basic courtesies. It's some combo of 2+ people walking abreast taking up the entire sidewalk, looking down at phones (or even full laptops, yes) or just walking right down the middle and not moving over to let an oncoming pedestrian by.

The other day I decided to hold my lane to see what would happen and sure enough ran right into a mofo.

some of this is the pedestrian equivalent of DWA (if you're from the Bay Area, you'll know what this means).

I got cheered because I was walking behind some very slow people and some slow people on the other side were about to cut off my passing lane. So I jumped through the two groups in an unbelievable shimmer. It’s a good thing it worked because I would have flattened someone if it didn’t.

Slow walkers drive me insane.

I treat it like I’m conquering the street.

“It’s the climb!”

The reason for this post was I just saw a guy running the wrong way, upstream in a huge wad of people in the Atl airport. Myself being in the wad. Some lolligaggers staring at their phones right in front of me didn’t see him and they crashed violently sending 5 guys burgers and fries and drinks up into the air, causing lots of collateral damage to most everyone in the wad. I faired ok other than a little ketchup on my tie. Others were not so lucky. Stay in your lane, bro.

My complaint is couples who spot others they know and stop in the middle of the walkway to visit.
