If she was under the influence of alcohol, the location of that NYE party and who supplied those underaged persons alcohol will be investigated. As it should be.
Edit: 1 down vote. We may have found the alcohol provider to underaged party-goers.

Confused on who was drunk, the teenage girl or the person who she had the accident with?
Quite possibly both at 1 AM NYE

My daughter is 14 and I’m having a real hard time with that. She likes to go to her friends house and sleepovers. We urge them to do that at our house. That helps remove an uncertainty from the mix.

Just because I am detail oriented, it was 1:00 am on New Year’s Day not Eve. But I do agree with your point

This is so sad. Unfortunately, someone reading this will probably be affected by something like this in the future. Prayers for their family and do whatever you can to learn lessons from this to try and avoid being in a similar situation.

If true, it's unfortunate that someone else's life will likely be ruined by an accident they had no hand in causing.

I believe it’s 16 years old where they can’t drive after 11pm

Put in a pool. Seriously.
A half decent pool/patio is 100k these days
Though Im thinking demand for that will begin to drop soon

As they should.
ETA: Kiran had a brief article saying the the passenger in the car with the deceased had minor injuries as did the driver of the other vehicle. Stated also that the other vehicle had a green light but of course all is still under investigation.

I always told my kids to sleep where they are hanging out NYE and the 4th. It was always at a friend’s, so no worries where they were. Otherwise, to call me and I’d pick up. My 26 year old called me for a ride late one night after she and her 2 best friends went out for Christmas dinner and drank. May God comfort this family, there is no human who can. Praying for the family.

The guy was driving perfectly fine, and a girl crosses over and hit him head on, and he supposed to be the one at fault?

I'm currently building a game/media room for my child's use when she is a teen.
I had few rules as a teen - at least few that were enforced. One of the major ones was to get where you were going and stay there until the morning.
I was not to "run the roads." My drunk-arse pops drug me out of at least one party/friend's house because I'd changed locations after 10 PM.
