Tipping is so stupid

Did she think they wouldn't notice?

doing this at any level is completely stupid and shitty activity but $600? Good lord.

Probably. This is America.

If they couldn't afford the tip they shouldn't have eaten out or something like that

I'm going to guess Twin Peaks.

That waitress was playing "just the tip" and won!

A son lives in Japan & I have visited him several times. Tipping is not done there, and my son says that prices are a bit higher but service is a lot better as the staffs are on set wages, usually higher than here. What I've noted here is that when a drink is ordered with a meal, the waitress has to share her tip with the bartender. I now tip with cash when ordering a drink.

If you google her name, her FB page pops up. According to FB she worked at the Krusty Crab

I just don't understand how they think they would get away with this

So she made it $656 on the tip line. Odd amount. I wonder if the customer left it blank or if she added a 56 to the end of a $6 tip (which would be a solid tip for the total.)
Makes me wonder how much extra a waitress could add for themselves without me noticing.
25x tip is beyond dumb. She needs to be more subtle.

Seriously, how tf did she not think the customer would notice? Does she have any common sense?
$600 is a lot of money to go missing from your bank account and not care. I'd wager you'd have to be at minimum a hundred millionaire in order for you to either (a)not notice $600 missing from your account. Or (b)not care that $600 is missing from your account.
But even then, for someone that rich, they are likely not eating at that restaurant to begin with.

Was in Spain recently. They do it right, no tipping.

I wasn’t aware one of these existed in Baton Rouge.
