It was a lot better 30 years ago but it’s perfect for him. Where is his event tonight? Someone’s house in Bocage?

No doubt. That is literally the last place I’d look to take someone in that area. My guess is they chose it bc it’s been there forever (although the food is not good) and they wanted him to seem like a man of the people/everyday guy going there instead of the better restaurants nearby

Nothing imo. Just seems like an odd place to take the VP. Like rowbear mentioned, it's probably meant to show he's just one of the people like us.

I hope they cleaned the place just once before he showed.

If you were entertaining a big client or CEO of a large company that is from out of town, you want to show him some local place, does Dearman's even make it in the top 50 in the area?

Still better than Poor Boy Lloyd’s, where Obama went in 2016.

Ever think the reason could be that they want to come off as eating at a middle class burger joint?

He could have gone to Mansur’s On The Boulevard or something else fancy within about a 3 mile radius of Bocage yet this is what he ate. Probably because he didn’t want to hear people bitching about him eating nice food on the government dime.

It’s a damn photo op dude. Mad you weren’t invited? You think they are all sitting down for a long dinner? Jesus. It’s an old name in the city in a stronghold area.

I’d have gone with Portobello’s, which is around the corner from there.

I said earlier likely the reason they chose that spot was to show he’s an everyday guy, but that doesn’t mean it’s a place I’d ever bring an important person.
