i love the people who get mad when i don't respond to their texts... when they are texting the office phone number.

What’s even worse are the ones that don’t even have a vm set up. That makes me not want to do business with them.

If the person you are calling has that much business, perhaps that tells you something about that person's value proposition.

Don’t care

I don't mind a really informative VM, but really I hate calls altogether. Most anything I'm needed for requires me to be in my laptop or physically in my office to look into the answer, so a phone call just isn't going to result in an immediate answer.

I've been actively working on not stopping what I'm doing each time a new email comes through, so it just ends up pissing me off when people think they can jump to the front of my priority list by calling.

Voicemail is trashy.

Voicemail is really only needed when calling someone that doesn’t have your number in their phone and vice versa.

Yep. Voicemail is annoying. If you leave me a voicemail, I will never hear it. If you have my number and I dont answer and you need to get in touch with me, email or text me. That will be checked before any voicemail is listened to anyways.

I’ve never even setup my voicemail. Employees think leaving a message let’s them off the hook.

If it makes any difference, this was an initial contact. I don't know if it was a cell phone or landline
