This reminds me of the People i know who live in Downtown st.Louis/Chicago/etc, who claim they haven't seen any violence, and the crime is being driven by media and conservatives, the murder/crime numbers are a lie. LOL

Decades of the faulty logic of the PC thought-police.
PC is a philosophy that states those viewed as being most oppressed get the most leeway. This also says that in a conflict among two (or more) groups, the least-oppressed group must be the one(s) at fault.
So what we have in Sweden is the influx of hundreds of thousands of immigrants per year from the Middle East (rising from being ~14% of the total population in 2010 to ~24% in 2017) who are considered to be escaping oppression (thus they are oppressed). Swedes in Sweden aren't oppressed so therefore they must be oppressors and thus at fault for the conflicts that happen when you add so many from a diametrically opposed culture to your own and they do not wish to assimilate in any way (and more likely demand the host country assimilate to them).

Hypocrites? Our violence problem largely home-grown, an ignominious legacy of past greed.
It’s not like our leaders are importing them presently. And no one has the testicular fortitude to do what should be done.

I don't see anything wrong with immigrants killing each other as long as we aren't wasting tax dollars to solve the crimes or anything

Murder is murder regardless of the motivations of the killer. Whether it's done over drugs or Allah, it is equally despicable.
The common reaction of the local citizens regardless of country seems to be shaking their fists rather than taking any sort of decisive action to stop the violence. I guess that is a human condition for this era.

I see it all the time in these threads where we judge other cultures for their problems in a manner that allows us to ignore the elephants in our own rooms

Absolutely but we also need to start treating violent areas like the warzones they are and apply heavy handed justice in conjunction with viable alternative employment.
I am not going to judge a culture an ocean away from me for finding themselves in the same situation I find myself. Unable to roam the streets of a city I love without looking over my shoulder.
