Yep, which is why she found some fame on the roasts and late night shows. On those, her bit could be consumed in small doses. I watched one of her standup specials and it became tiresome after 15 minutes.

Many hecklers are assholes, but I sort of understand the guy wanting to pay her to shut up.

I have no idea who that bitch is but she clearly needs some help.

It happens a lot with female and black comics. They can't get past the race/gender crutch and it just gets annoying because they don't relate very well with the audience in a broader sense.

Yes, we get it black people and/or women do this and white people/men do that. What else ya got?

This.

You guys know that some comics hire hecklers, right? Sometimes it's meant to be part of the show.

I know heckling is part of the game, but this seemed to go beyond that.

It's actually not part of the game. You're an a-hole if you heckle

I was actually kind of on her side until she decided to direct her fury at the whole crowd.

I could never do what she does, but I think it's pretty bad when you've been doing comedy for 30 years and you're doing shows where the majority of the chairs aren't attached to the floor.

I saw Louis CK in a room with less than 30 chairs, all which were not attached to the floor. Also in the audience were John Goodman, Stephen Root, and Bryan Cranston

This was about 3 years ago.

Once it turns to actual anger, you typically lose the crowd. That's part of the fine nuances of good heckling combat.

See Michael Richards.

Is her entire comedy routine still centered around fricking black guys?

Agreed. I get wanting to go back to the wells that seem to work, but those will eventually run dry.

This reminds me of my uncle going to see Andrew Dice Clay in Vegas about 20 years ago. My uncle was a fan in the 80s, but said the set was awful.

Kind of like you were saying...ok we know you got your dick sucked again. Move on.

Well known, "big name" comics work out their material on small rooms with chairs that "aren't attached to the floor". I'm not saying that's what she was doing, but this comment is pretty dumb.

That's the dangerous part about the caricature acts. They can get you fame, but you're pigeon holed.

Dice is kinda the classic rock band casino tour genre. Tell us the hits because that's what we came here for.

A well trained comic who has done the “UFO circuit” as Bill Hicks would put it has a very good idea of how to counter a heckler and get the show back under control.

Sometimes this backfired depending on how they read or misread the audience.

Christopher Titus has said one of the biggest frickups he ever did was to focus on one particular member of his audience who wasn’t giving him eye contact and start heaping abuse at her.

The punch line? She was blind and COULDN’T give him eye contact, which lead to the other comics laughing their asses off over it.

I don't know, man. Angry Bill Hicks was some funny shite.
